Don’t Stop Adventuring

adventure is everywhere

Hi, I’m Markleigh.

For years, I thought adventure meant boarding a plane, taking a road trip, or exploring somewhere I’d never been before. And while travel has given me some of the most incredible experiences of my life, I’ve come to realize that adventure is much bigger than that.

Adventure isn’t just about where you go—it’s about how you live.

It’s saying yes to new experiences. It’s trying something you’ve never done before. It’s making time for wonder, connection, creativity, and growth. It’s exploring a new trail, baking something from scratch, planting a garden, building friendships, taking your kids somewhere new, or simply choosing curiosity over routine.

Travel first taught me that lesson. Over the years, I followed a personal rule: never turn down an opportunity for adventure. That philosophy took me across town, across the Southwest, from Mexico to Canada, through Central America, and across Europe. I studied Spanish abroad, backpacked through unfamiliar places, and discovered that the world is far bigger and more beautiful than I ever imagined.

But life changes.

As the years passed, responsibilities grew. Careers, family, obligations, and the demands of everyday life began to crowd out the spontaneity that once came so naturally. I found myself saying no to opportunities I would have once jumped at. Somewhere along the way, I lost a little of the wonder that had always guided me.

Creating Don’t Stop Adventuring is my way of finding it again.

This isn’t just a travel blog. It’s a place for anyone who wants to live a fuller, more adventurous life—whether that means exploring a new country, planning a camping trip, trying a new recipe, building meaningful friendships, embracing motherhood, or simply finding joy in everyday moments.

Here you’ll find travel inspiration, outdoor adventures, family experiences, recipes, stories, events, and ideas for creating a life filled with curiosity and connection.

Because adventure isn’t reserved for vacations or special occasions. It’s available to all of us, every single day.

Whatever adventure looks like for you, I hope you’ll chase it.

Take the trip. Join the hike. Learn the skill. Meet the people. Try the thing you’ve been putting off.

The world is full of possibilities, and life is too short to stop exploring.

Adventure is everywhere.

So wherever you are in your journey, don’t stop adventuring.
